What stays on your device

Imported and downloaded media, papers, and articles; generated study material (transcripts, summaries, notes, flashcards, mind maps, canvas boards, notebook entries); app settings; and any API keys you enter — stored in the macOS Keychain, never in plain files, never logged, and sent only to the provider you configured.

Third-party services (only when you use them)

Kekasatori contacts external services only as a result of your actions. If you configure a bring-your-own-key AI provider, the text you ask about — including excerpts of your document — is sent to that provider using your key, under their privacy policy; if you instead use Apple Intelligence, that runs on-device. Importing or downloading from a URL connects to that source. Update checks retrieve files only. The developer receives no copy of any of this data.

Optional web research. When the web-research agent is enabled (Settings → Study), generating study material may send short topic keywords extracted from your content — never your document or transcript text itself — to DuckDuckGo to find related reading. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.

Website, beta list & purchases

Separately from the app, this website and the sale of Kekasatori involve a small amount of personal data that the developer does control:

• Website hosting. This site is served by Cloudflare Pages; Cloudflare processes standard request logs (such as IP address and browser user agent) to deliver the site. There are no analytics or advertising trackers.
• Beta list. If you sign up for the beta, your email address is stored with our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and used only to contact you about Kekasatori beta access and availability. You can be removed at any time by emailing us.
• Purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe; the developer never sees or stores your card details. To issue your license key, provide support, and meet tax and accounting obligations, the developer receives and keeps your name, email address, and purchase record. Your license key is tied to your email address. Purchase records are retained as long as required by law.

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of this data, and to receive a copy of it (GDPR/CCPA). We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. EU/UK residents may also complain to their supervisory authority.

Analytics & tracking

None. Kekasatori contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Your control

Because everything is local, you can delete your data at any time within the app or by removing the app's Application Support folder. Removing the app removes its local data.
